Sports Sessions
Looking to keep your kids active and engaged? Called To Play offers 4, 6 and 8 week mini-seasons of weekly P.E. games and sports sessions, designed to keep your kids active while having fun.
Our program focuses on the fundamentals of multiple sports, promoting physical activity while building confidence and character in a playful and engaging way. Join us today and let your kids play their way to a healthier lifestyle!

We currently offer one class per week. Our classes are divided by age groups to ensure a more engaging and developmentally appropriate experience for each child. The class is divided into two groups: ages 5-8 and 9-13. The content for both age groups is the same but tailored in pace and depth to be more appropriate for each age group.

As we continue to grow, we plan to offer additional classes and time slots to better accommodate more families and provide even greater opportunities for kids to stay active and engaged.

Our current class is Thursdays from 10am - 1pm. This is a drop-off event, but parents are always welcome to stay and watch!

After purchasing your P.E. Games and Sports Bundle, you will create a user account log-in which gives you access to the Locker Room, where you will be able to register participants, R.S.V.P. for classes, and fill out the required waivers.

Each bundle also has options for 1 or more children which offers even more savings. Kickoff Camp Bundle - 4 weekly 3hr sessions Mid-Season Challenge Bundle - 6 weekly 3hr sessions Championship Training Bundle - 8 weekly 3hr sessions

Will kids be broken up by age group for the class?Yes. The kids will start off together for the warm up and character trait and then be split into two separate groups. Ages 5-8 and 9-13. The class content will be very similar but the activities and pace will be tailored to be more age-appropriate for each group.
-
Will you offer different time frames or different days other than what is listed currently? We plan to offer one class for the next 8 weeks, adhering to the scheduled times and utilizing the same location. Our goal is to continue growing and, in time, expand to offering multiple classes per week, with both morning and afternoon schedules available to better serve our families.

What if I have a four year old or a fourteen year old that would like to be in the class? We’ve set age ranges for each class to ensure the best experience for every child and to create well-balanced groups. However, one of the heartbeats of Called to Play is providing opportunities for whole families to participate together, helping parents avoid juggling multiple activities. If you have a child who is just outside the set age range and would like to join, please reach out to us — we’re happy to discuss the possibility of making an exception. We're also excited about the future! We plan to offer higher-level classes for ages 14-18 as we grow, giving older athletes a chance to continue building their skills, character, and faith with us.

Will there be constant supervision and precautions taken to ensure safety of my kids?At Called to Play, the safety and well-being of every child is our top priority. All children will remain with their group and a coach at all times. Restroom breaks will be supervised, with both a male and female coach present. Our staff is trained to provide a safe, positive environment. Each team member has completed Ministry Safe or Darkness to Light training, equipping them to recognize and prevent potential risks. Additionally, Coach Chase is CPR, AED, and First Aid certified through the American Red Cross, ensuring that safety and care are always at the forefront of our program.
-
What does my child need to wear or bring with them to each class?Every child should come dressed in their Called to Play shirt, athletic bottoms, and athletic shoes. Each child will receive one Called to Play shirt on their first day of class. Depending on the weather, a light jacket may be needed. Please send your child with a water bottle and any additional snacks they may need. During class, we will have a snack break alongside our daily devotional. Called to Play will provide extra water bottles each day if needed and offer a simple, healthy snack — typically fruit and a gluten-free, dye-free, dairy-free, and nut-free option. If your child requires specific snacks, please pack those for them.
-
What character building and foundation of faith does Called to Play offer to kids?At Called to Play, character building and faith are at the heart of everything we do. Our mission is to help kids grow not just in athletic skills, but in the kind of qualities that will grow their faith and lead them to Christ. Called to Play uses devotional ideas and content from Kids Corner. We focus on one character trait each class that is biblical and encourages values that support the fruits of the Spirit, as described in Galatians 5:22-23 — love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
-
What if we cannot attend a class we have signed up for or it rains that day? Each P.E. Games & Sports Bundle allows two extra weeks in the plan for potential absences. For example if you sign up for our 6 week bundle, you have a total of 8 weeks from the sign up date to attend your six classes. If a class is cancelled due to weather, your plan will extend one extra week to make up for that class. If multiple days are affected, we will schedule "make-up days" as needed to help stay on track.
-
What sports and games will my child be participating in?We will primarily focus on sports fundamentals such as throwing, catching, kicking, balancing, and fine motor skills. Our sports curriculum will cover a variety of activities, including soccer, baseball, frisbee, basketball, football, and obstacle course challenges. In addition, we'll incorporate classic P.E. games that promote teamwork, problem-solving, healthy competition, and, above all, FUN!

Do I need to stay for the whole class or can I drop my child off?Called to Play is designed as a drop-off event, giving parents time to run errands, grab coffee with a friend, or enjoy some quiet time. However, parents are more than welcome to stay and watch the class. Our location has restrooms and a covered area for seating. Plus, we’re in a beautiful park where parents can take a walk and be active as well!
